Could not wait to get this together when it was laid out in as a sum of parts, and was not disappointed.
The bezel and glass make this watch for me, it really feels like wearing something vintage.
The silicon strap is shaped to look like 70's padded and drilled leather, but is supremely comfortable and adds much to the every day of this great watch.
I may change the hands because they are not easy to see without my glasses on - I mean I'm going fucking blind, but needs must... I dare say a sraight swap with the black/orange Willard is going to reap dividends.
I may change the hands because the black rim effectively minaturizes them.
Great build for a pal's son.
The manta rays on the dial swim across from 7 o'clock and look great. Sadly I gave this watch to my pal in a bit of a hurry because I was so chuffed with it, so that's the only photo I have, but you'll see the detail on the video.
If it works, why change it.
A total watchgasm for build numero uno.
Very much a built to fulfil a personal wish list.
Another one for the personal collection.
This watch is in high demand in The Tiger (my local pub!)
Much admired and very pleasing build with the two white accents of the second hand marker and the date working well together to prevent a single colour standing out as odd.
My favorite element of this watch is the metal surround in the date window which seems to add a touch of extra class.
The Big Blue (Samuari)
PVD coated Samuari case in dark blue that appears black but glints bright blue in the sunlight, Yacht Master style bezel in the same coating, deep blue starburst dial with blue / white hour markers, and awesome (and huge) set of divers' hands with silver hour and red minutes as well as a black / red seconds, NH36 movement with black date wheels under white writing, blue silicone divers' strap with black (non-deployment) buckle.
This is super cool when it glints deep blue in the sunlight
The strap looks ace on this watch despite the gap between the strap and case (which usually annoys me)
